I love a good crisis

Emphasize the word 'good'. No death and destruction...Just the lack of gas in Charlotte. Luckily Spencer had filled up his tank on Tuesday night...(we were gasless as of Wednesday morning). And so all activities and plans we had for this weekend have been cancelled. What a blessing. After all the fun and excitement and 16 hours on airplanes, and the past week that I have had ...I am exhausted. So, it use to be that we were going to be even more busy busy busy today...but now...Spencer and I have decided to make pancakes and watch The Lord of the Rings trilogy all the day long!! woo hoo....and with any luck, I won't have to go to work next week.

Is it 90% excited and 10% scared...or vice versa?

I am FINALLY headed back to school!!
It's official, I just enrolled at Central Piedmont for the Spring 2009 semester. I have wanted to go back for years, but Spencer and I moved around so much that I just never had the opportunity. Well, enough excuses...I'm going back. "I'm coming like a hurricane".

The WEDDING DAY!!

So we started off this day by all of the families going to the Boise temple to do a session. And then snap some photos outside afterward.
They are so awesome together

Me and me poppy

Me and me mammy

Me and my main squeeze

So after the temple, we all headed back to Melba to the Zeyer home for the wedding. The wedding was supposed to be outside...It hadn't rained in 4 months. You can all guess where this is going! It rained, poured, thundered, lightninged...so they picked up all the chairs and moved them into the Zeyer living room...Still amazing!!

Look how happy they are!!

Okay, OTHER than the wedding, this little boy Jared.....HIGHLIGHT OF THIS WEEKEND! I miss him so much. I love him. Other than the wedding, he was the highlight of this trip. I have never in my life met a sweeter, snugglier, chiller, lovable, happier little boy. I miss him. Angela, does he talk about me?

The reception was also supposed to be outside, but in minutes, we had this church building looking so awesome!! It turned out really beautiful, and the food was amazing!

The Zeyer Fam

So excited to have Jeanette as my sister. So is my mom, she's started buying us matching outfits.

Friday!

After a morning of setting up an incredible front yard reception area with lights, tables, and dance floors, Jeanette's mom treated Jeanette, me, and Jeanette's brother's wives, and her sister to pedicures. Bright pink toes. I really had so much fun with these women!! I couldn't have felt more welcomed into a family. Seriously, love them all!!

And how comforted I was to learn, that I am not the only person on this planet who thinks her feet are celestial...meet my new best friend Angela... (Jeanette's sister)

To start off the wedding weekend

Got to Idaho at 12:34pm on Thursday the 18th. Drove 30 minutes to Melba, ID, home of the Zeyer family. Farmland.... B-E-A-utiful!This is the view from the Zeyer's back porch. This picture really doesn't do it justice.

These Zeyer's know how to get a party started!! To start off ...see those mountains in the background of that picture..that is where Jeanette's dad took all of us 4 wheeling!! SO MUCH FUN!!! I found my new hobby! It took me about 10 minutes to get comfortable, and then I was going up steep boulderous mountains. GOOD TIMES!!Me and my beautiful new sister

So we got COVERED IN DUST!! After I realized that I was covered in it, I looked at Spencer, and I had never seen anything so sexy!! We need to get him dirty more often! That's the hotness right there...I especially liked the look of him wearing MY female gender sunglasses...

The Zeyer family...Brent, Spencer, Jane, Aaron, Jeanette, Matt, and my Spencer
We stopped at this place miles out on our 4 wheelers....Brent showed us some interesting porcupines that actually grow on plants..;)

When we were done, I dared Spencer that he couldn't go up this mountain of soft dirt.
he did.
It's ALOT steeper than it looks.
And then, I bet Spencer that if he went really fast..due to my intense beach training, I could keep up with him....see the dirt flying up in the top right corner....SO FAST! Look at me GO!

That really was the GREATEST fun...Way to kick off a GREAT weekend!!

Made my day!!

So before I post my pictures and details of my brother's fabulous weekend wedding, I have to throw this in so I can remember this day today. There is a little boy in my ward named Jonah. Ever since I saw him in church who knows how many years ago, I have thought..."CUTEST BOY IN THE WORLD!" .... he hugged me tonight. (even though it was coerced because he got a cookie, it still made me want to cry).

Off to Idaho

My brother Matt is getting hitched this weekend!! WOO HOO!!!

It's about bloody time. :)
Nah, if he had to wait another 30 years to meet Jeanette, it would be well worth the wait!

So Im off... to start packing 2 weeks worth of clothes for 4 days. That's got to be some kind of syndrome.

Happy 32nd Birthday Daniel

Photobucket">Photobucket" border="0" alt="" />

In honor of your 32nd birthday today, I will write one of my favorite memories of you. When we were living in SLC together, and I was working at that Marketing firm. You came and got me for lunch and when we got back to my office, you had no idea that a corporate meeting was happening in the main office area. So, upon entering the door, you say at your loudest decibel "LUCY, I'm HOME." A room full of about 50 executives from all over the country busted out into laughter. classic.

28.

I had a great birthday weekend. Friday morning I woke up early and went running at Beatty Park. I usually go in the late afternoons after work, and it is so hot and humid and icky, I just run hoping to get it over with faster. However, Friday morning at 8 am...the air was cool, crisp, and the lake looked like glass. And I was able to think. I wasn't concerned about getting run down by mountain bikers, or hearing screaming kids at the soccer field...It was quiet and tranquil. I think that that was one of the highlights of the weekend. So for breakfast my 2 best girlfriends Michelle and Nicole took me 40 minutes away to Cracker Barrell. DIVINE! Those pecan pancakes make me feel like a giddy school girl. The rest of the day I really just enjoyed the fact that I wasn't at work. So, then we come to my actual birthday...Saturday. ( It really is never just one day, is it?)
Slept in until 9am....and all I wanted to do all day was play with Spencer. I know that sounds so cheesy and gay. But I don't care. He has been working so hard everyday all day long, and even though he works at home, I feel like I never get to see him, because of how hard he works and focuses on his clients. So, he had ZERO appointments. We went to the pool, and no one was there, weird cause it was a PERFECT pool day. Then I decided that after dinner I just wanted to sit on our couches with chocolate cake and watch the 4th season of The Office. We missed the whole season so we were really excited. Spencer had made reservations at The Macaroni Grill and a lady sang to me in Italian. We know they do that for everyone, but what made it so special, is that Spencer called days ahead and told them what he wanted them to do, instead of hoping I'll go use the restroom so he can let the waiter know. it's the little things.

As for gifts. Im the type of person who would rather take the money Spencer would spend on a gift for me, and go get what I want myself. So, clothes...lots of clothes.

So my favorite things...Spencer, running, tanning, food, cake, laughing at The Office. All my favorite things. The only thing that could have made this better was if it was all done in Cabo. ..........not soon enough.

Love my peeps

As much as I dislike my day job, I love the people I work with. I had Friday off, so on Thursday they surprised me with a lunch from my favorite Japanese restaurant Osaka's and a beautiful and delicious cake from Costco. More on my birthday adventures coming soon!
