HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

I love my dad

Success

After 2 days of a grueling outdoor yard sale; a total of 17 hours standing in the HUMID AND HOT sun, negotiating prices on junk, while getting sucked by 12 mosquitoes...we have achieved success.
It's all gone.

We've learned a very valuable lesson in this. We weren't looking for a lesson, but we learned one anyway. NO MORE ACCUMULATING JUNK! Seriously. We were looking around at all of our stuff before the sale started, and seriously, who needs stuff?? We swear that the next home we own we are going to fill with furniture that is a necessity to have and not just decorative useless things that just keep piling up and never used for anything. What a waste of money. But we were able to get alot of that money back..so yippee.

I'll just spruce up our next house with my own painting and art. That will force me to get good at it.

We plan to head to California this week. So sad..I'll do a North Carolina tribute blog entry once I start feeling upset about it...which will coincide with my quarter size mosquito bites dissipating.

Spencer

I can literally count on ONE hand the number of pictures I have seen of Spencer that were taken before we were married. His mom had 2 on hand of him when he was a little boy..like 2 or 3 years old. Other than that...his mission photos. Well, there were a lot of those actually. But as a youth...NOTHING! He had a bit of a rough youth.

So thanks be to FACEBOOK, one of his friends posted some pictures from back in those days.

I am speechless.
Seriously, I have no words.

This last one is my favorite.
He's the little girl on the left...yes, with braids in his hair.

Man, I LOVE Spencer!!!

YARD SALE

For all my local friends/neighbors that I'm hoping will stumble upon this post...
Come over Friday 19th or Saturday 20th in the morning from 7:30-12. We are having a huge MOVING AND EVERYTHING MUST GO sale!

If you don't know where I live, leave me a comment and I'll email you.

Paintings for sale!

Okay.
I'm just going to assume for a second that more than my family read this blog and throw this out there...

We are selling our beautiful artwork. Don't ask why, but bottom line: they just don't fit.

The first up for sale is

A SIGNED AND NUMBERED 1959/2500 with Certificate of Authenticity

"Wherever He Leads Me" by Greg Olson. $400. Yes, the reproduced painting is only $150, but this is a signed and numbered painting. It's number is 1959/2500. NOT a reproduction.

The second painting for sale is my favorite. We bought one for my parents as a gift also, so we just figure we'll inherit that one again someday. ;)

"Celebration" by Al Rounds $200.

Or just make us a good offer for both if you'd like.

Racquetball

I learned how to play a new sport this morning. Racquetball. I won all three games...
against my instructor.
love you M.

32

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY LOVE

We had some good times today
It started by the pool where we lay
Under the sun turning a lovely shad
e of brown and gold
Then we saw the movie "Up", for which we are not too old.
Man that movie is funny and so sweet too!
"My name is Doug, and I love you"
Texas Roadhouse then called your name
And we, of course, ordered the same.
Those yummy ribs and rolls wi
th cinnamon butter
Always make our mouths drip with water.
Dessert awaited us at our home
A place we soon will no long
er own
Some delicious chocolate and coconut squares
Thanks to Michelle, they really were more than just fair
After your birthday phone calls from all your loved ones
And our activities for the day are all done
I'm suddenly not feel
ing very fine
Because if you turned 32 today, that means I'm almost 29!

YOU NEED THIS!!

Many of you know that I have been doing the Isagenix program on and off for the past 2 years.
After I got married and was done playing volleyball I got really really fat! Working out wasn't helping me as much as I thought it would...and then enter Isagenix. I lost at least 50 lbs over the course of a couple months. If you want to know all about the program and what it's all about click here.

This blog post is not about selling you on the Isagenix program.

This blog post IS about YOU NEEDING TO get on this:

We had some volume to fill on our last order so we decided to try this stuff. HOLY CRAP! I have never felt so full of healthy goodness in my whole life!!
It tastes like absolute rabbit turd...but I'm telling you that I feel like a 100% active, high energy, non hungry type of person ALL DAY LONG!!

Here's more reasons why I love it so much. I am hungry all day long everyday. I think I have a hollow leg where all the food I eat goes, because I never get full. Well, ever since I started on The Greens I have not had any cravings of any kind, and I don't get hungry anymore after I just ate something!!

I think my body just craves all the goodness in this stuff and after my system gets filled with it in the mornings, my body says "It's all good, go have and do whatever you need to today."

Now, like I said, it tastes like rabbit crap....BAD! Spencer likes it, he says it tastes like tea. There you go...I HATE TEA! I have tried teas...never liked one.
Well, it comes in powder form and you mix it with 8oz. of water. I just plug my nose and down it as fast as I can whilst closing my eyes. And I'm right as rain.

Every person in the whole world should try this at least once. You will be astonished at how much better you feel...throughout the whole day!!

Click here for the nutritional label...It's crazy how much healthy stuff they've got in it.
seriously, how many of us honestly get our vegetable fill every day??

HERE'S TO RABBIT CRAP.

Let's Play a Game

You know that game.."If you were stranded on a desert island what five items would you take" or "What five books would you take?" So on and so on. Well, this is my life right now. I am literally playing the game called "I'm moving to Cabo, and the only things I can take are things that can fit in my car." This is what I've got.

Books
DVD's
Pictures
Clothes/Bath amenities

Now...which books?? Which DVD's? Which clothes? That is my predicament. I can tell you I've sold more than half of my books, and the ones I am definitely taking are:
Twilight & New Moon
Jane Eyre
Ender's Game
The Blue Day Book

DVD's....my vice. The good news is I have managed to cut down the number from 400 DVD's to 150. I can't do any better than 150. I cried after I sold "Raising Arizona" and realized I can't do anymore than that. 150 DVD's can easily fit into one Isagenix box. I won't list them. I will list the five movies I WOULD grab if my house went up in flames.
Gladiator
Lord of the Rings Trilogy (yes, that counts as one)
Sense & Sensibility
Pride & Prejudice
P.S I Love You (Don't judge me...this movie hits close to home)

Clothes...again another vice. I have disposed of all my winter clothes. For some odd reason my closet does not appear to have shrunk AT ALL. That is going to take more work.

I may end up cheating during this game. And ship some boxes to friends in Mexico.

What would YOU bring??
